
Virtual Tuesday Talk—Fighting for Freedom: Black Craftspeople and the Pursuit of Independence
The lives of free and enslaved Black craftspeople tell an equally compelling stories of the desire for freedom as those of the Founders. Many risked their lives for a taste of an independence enjoyed by so many others. This talk will highlight some of the stories and objects featured in the newly opened exhibition “Fighting for Freedom: Black Craftspeople and the Pursuit of Independence” at the DAR Museum.
