GRANTMAKING
The Decorative Arts Trust supports a robust system of grants, scholarships, lectures, and internships for graduate students and emerging scholars, academics, and museum professionals and for institutions such as museums and historical societies.
The Trust serves as a community foundation for the decorative arts and material culture fields by supporting vital and groundbreaking scholarship, including object-based research centered on diverse and inclusive perspectives and marginalized and underrepresented communities. The Trust values the impact of the traditional skills on hands-on close looking and connoisseurship.
All of the Trust’s grantmaking programs are open to international applicants except for the Prize for Excellence and Innovation.
