
American Ceramic Circle Annual Symposium 2025
The American Ceramic Circle is thrilled to welcome you to register for the 2025 Symposium held jointly at the Atlanta History Center and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia, October 22-24, with an optional post-symposium trip to Athens, Georgia, on October 25th. This year’s symposium will bring together ceramic historians and practitioners in celebration of ceramics. A long-awaited site for the American Ceramic Circle Symposium, Atlanta is a city rich with ceramic collections ranging from American stoneware to contemporary craft, and Asian export ceramics to European and English eighteenth-century artworks. The opening reception is generously hosted by collectors Eileen and Bo DuBose. Then, lectures and events will be spread across two institutions with an emphasis on tours within museum collections, historic homes, and with living artists. The exciting list of experts who will share cutting-edge research on topics ranging from Georgia pottery past and present, Wedgwood, Japanese Export, Mexican ceramics, mounted vessels, contemporary craft, and the interconnected global market. We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker is Jiha Moon. On October 25, the ACC has arranged an optional bus trip to experience contemporary and historic ceramics in Athens, Georgia! The day’s events will include a visit to The Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum, Georgia Museum of Art, a studio tour with Sunkuh Yoo, and a visit to a private collection.
