Architectural Pottery Paper Model Workshop
Saturday, November 2, 2024 • 11:00 AM–12:00 PM • In Person • Pre-registration Required
Learn how to make your own Malcolm Leland lantern, or another Architectural Pottery-inspired form, just using paper! We’ll briefly tour the current exhibition Architectural Pottery: Ceramics for a Modern Landscape and explore the technical aspects of Architectural Pottery so we can consider how to recreate our favorite shapes. Then, we’ll sit down for a hands-on workshop and try creating some of the shapes we’ve just seen out of paper. Templates will be provided. At the end of this workshop, each student will have their own architectural pottery paper model to take home.
This workshop is suitable for teens and adults. Youth ages 12+ must be accompanied by a registered adult.
No walk-ins. Be sure to register below! Your Paper Model Workshop ticket includes tour and materials, as well as AMOCA museum admission. AMOCA is open 11AM-4PM on Saturday, November 2.
