Brian Sawyer: Mastering Collaboration and Innovation in Houses and Landscapes
The New York-based architectural designer and landscape architect Brian Sawyer, FASLA, will speak on his book, Sawyer | Berson Houses and Landscapes. This first book from Sawyer | Berson illustrates the award-winning firm’s quintessential pairings of modernism and classicism in seaside houses, metropolitan residences, and spectacular garden retreats. Sawyer worked with architect John Berson, a colleague at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, where they left to establish Sawyer | Berson in 1999. The firm specializes in residential design, including new homes, townhouses, apartments, interiors, landscapes, and gardens. Their work encompasses a wide variety of styles spanning traditional and modern, informed by history and context and developed in close collaboration with their clients and design teams.
