Historic Cocktail and Spirits Series: Espresso Martinis and Vodka Tastings with Cathead Distillery

Guests are invited to join The Charleston Museum for a cocktail series to explore a range of spirits, wine, and beer. For this second installment in the series, Curator of History Chad Stewart and Cathead Distillery are teaming up for a special workshop on vodka, featuring espresso martinis.

Get an exclusive look at historic drinkware items from the Museum’s History collection not typically on display as you learn more about the influence that coffee and vodka had in Charleston’s history. Representatives from Cathead Distillery will take you on a guided, specially designed tasting journey while you sample a variety of vodkas and liqueurs.   Tickets are all-inclusive and include tastings, 1 cocktail, light bites, a Curator talk with access to special Museum collection items, and education from Cathead Distillery.

Cathead Distillery was founded by a pair of lifelong friends and avid blues fans. Pulling inspiration from Mississippi, the Gulf Coast, and beyond, Cathead is proud to produce award-winning, small batch spirits that give a taste of the South with every sip.  Cathead Distillery was named a 2020 James Beard semi-finalist for Outstanding Spirits Producer and is celebrated for its authentic products and a strong commitment to their community.

For guests 21 years of age and older.  Reservations required.   Classes with insufficient enrollment may be canceled. Students will be notified in advance and full refunds or the opportunity to transfer to another workshop will be offered. Student cancellations must be requested 48 hours in advance for a refund minus $10 administration fee.  Full registration fee may be transferred to a future workshop or other adult program.  Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will result in a forfeiture of workshop fee.
