This four-night trip includes private tours and behind-the-scenes look at some of the best cultural institutions in the city and some of the most outstanding and grandest historic homes in the greater Philadelphia area:

  • Ardrossan, the storied Main Line estate of the Montgomery family. One of the last great Main Line mansions.
  • Andalusia, the historic home of the Biddle family, with over two hundred years of history. Andalusia has one of the finest collections of antiques accumulated by eight generations of the Biddle family.
  • Stenton, an 18th century masterpiece is one of the finest intact Georgian homes in the country, complete with one of the most significant collections of 18th century American furniture.
  • Lynnewood Hall, a sleeping giant ready to be awakened, has only recently been rescued by a non-profit grassroots organization. Lynnewood Hall is the largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the Philadelphia area, built by the Widener family, two members of which went down with the Titanic. The house is now accessible to visit for the first time.

In addition to these magnificent homes our Philadelphia excursion includes insider’s tours of the Hill-Physick House, Mount Pleasant, The Grange, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, historic Philadelphia Hospital and more.
