Holiday Farmstead Taste & Tour: Farm-to-Table Dining Experience
Treat yourself or someone special to a delicious day of dining and decorative arts at Renfrew Museum and Park. Our signature Farmstead Taste & Tour luncheon program offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in our museum collections while sampling seasonal, locally sourced fare inspired by the traditions of our historic Pennsylvania German farmstead in rural Waynesboro, Franklin County. Your meal will be hosted in Renfrew’s Wagon Shed Room gallery, inside our converted Victorian barn. Servers dressed in authentic early 19th century clothing will wait upon you with old-fashioned hospitality as each course is introduced along with informational commentary on how it relates to the heritage of the farmstead.
Start with a hearty coursed meal of salad, soup, and a selection of fresh-baked breads with preserves followed by a delicious entrée. After lunch, enjoy a holiday-themed guided tour of the farmstead outbuildings and 1812 stone Museum House, historically decorated and furnished with an array of eighteenth and nineteenth century furniture, ceramics, folk art, silver, textiles, and more. We’ll then return to the Visitors Center for a scrumptious dessert. After the program concludes, guests are free browse our exhibits of Bell Family Shenandoah Pottery, Pennsylvania longrifles, and tradesmen’s tools in the galleries and enjoy a walk on our scenic grounds on their own.
All dishes are freshly prepared by Chef Delaney Blubaugh of Delaney’s Delicacies, Waynesboro, PA, especially for guests of Renfrew Museum and Park. Our menu changes seasonally and reflects the rhythms of life on the farm, including fresh heirloom produce from our gardens when available.
