The Third Brandwood Lecture: “Pevsner and Me” given by Diarmaid MacCulloch

The Ecclesiological Society’s 2025 Brandwood Lecture will be given on Monday 8 December by Professor Diarmaid MacCulloch Kt, President of the Society. Entitled ‘Pevsner and Me’, the lecture will recall a lifetime of visiting, enjoying and brooding on church buildings and their significance. Professor MacCulloch will describe those who have influenced him in those experiences, not least Sir Nikolaus Pevsner. One of his personal encounters with Pevsner was particularly important in setting patterns in his thinking, as he will explain.
