Wye Oak Lecture Series—Pulaski Banner and the American Revolution
Of the hundreds of flags made and carried in the Revolutionary War, only about 30 are known to survive. To mark the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the Revolutionary War, the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia presents Banners of Liberty: An Exhibition of Original Revolutionary War Flags, the largest gathering of rare and significant flags in more than two centuries—MCHC’s own Pulaski Banner is displayed alongside more than a dozen surviving original flags. Learn about the process of maintaining, transporting, and researching these historic objects with James Taub, Associate Curator of Exhibition Content and Research at the Museum of the American Revolution, and R. Scott Stephenson, PhD, President & CEO of the Museum of the American Revolution.
Doors open at 5:30 pm. Lecture begins at 6 pm. Light reception to follow.
