Save the Date: Fall Symposium 2017
September 14-17
Centered in Hartford, our fall symposium introduces the extraordinary collections within reach of Connecticut’s capital, including those found at the Wadsworth Atheneum and Connecticut Historical Society, as well as visits to local landmarks such as the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum and Harriet Beecher Stowe and Mark Twain Houses. Optional tours explore public and private collections in nearby historic towns such as Farmington, Suffield, Litchfield, and Woodbury. The program will also include a special celebration of the Trust’s 40th Anniversary on Thursday, September 14, including a lecture by Jonathan Fairbanks, the Trust’s Honorary Chairman and renowned scholar on New England material culture.
