SOJOURN
September 2024
Go coastal with the Trust as we expand our appreciation for maritime studies, historic preservation, and island collecting during this Nantucket Sojourn. A prized New England summertime haven, this tiny island’s big personality ranges from Quaker roots and a whaling history to grand Greek Revival edifices and conspicuous consumption of exotic goods. We explore the island’s significant maritime way of life and artistic legacies, lending to embroidered narratives, a distinctive culture, and the lore of Moby Dick. Surrounded by sea and sky, this September excursion showcases Nantucket’s dreamy views and deep traditions of trade, travel, and tourism.
