The Decorative Arts Trust is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit membership organization. Our mission is to provide education in the field of American decorative arts through dynamic programs and the support of graduate students and young professionals in related fields through our Emerging Scholars Program. Emerging Scholars Program

Through grants, scholarships, and internships, this fund provides graduate students and young professionals with essential resources and opportunities.

Continuing Education: scholarships to intensive educational programs that provide recipients with new information and perspectives that profoundly influence their work for their local communities.

Failey Grant Program

The Trust underwrites grants in support of noteworthy research, exhibition, publication, and object-based conservation projects through the Dean F. Failey Fund, named in honor of the Trust’s late Governor. Areas of interest include new scholarship in decorative arts, material culture, craftsmanship, and historic preservation.

Hunt Initiative Fund

Established to recognize the contributions of former Executive Director Penelope M. Hunt, this fund allows the Trust’s leadership to focus on adding innovative programs and projects that will provide additional value to our members, build new constituencies, and allow the Trust to remain a prominent fixture in the decorative arts community.

Strategic Operations Fund

This unrestricted fund was created to help the Trust underwrite our most crucial initiatives. Your gifts to this fund are powerful contributions that allow the Trust to apply your support where it is needed most.
