A Special Program in Southern California

EVENTS > SPECIAL PROGRAMS

November 8, 2019

Join us in Southern California for an exciting day exploring Pasadena’s decorative arts scene. Our day begins at the Gamble House, the iconic American Arts & Crafts site Pasadena where we are received by the Gamble House’s Director Ted Bosely.  The home was designed in 1908 by the architectural firm of Charles and Henry Greene for Mary and David B. Gamble of the Procter & Gamble company. Planned as a winter dwelling, the Gamble House is often referred to as “America’s Arts & Crafts Masterpiece,” and features an extraordinary percentage of the original furnishings.  Following lunch at a local venue, we are invited to visit the private home of a Pasadena-based collector, whose eclectic collection ranges from Art Nouveau decorative art to Pre-Raphaelite paintings. This special one-day program is limited to 25 participants and pre-registration is required. Transportation to sites will be provided.
