If Pots Could Talk: Stories of Revolution and Rebellion

EVENTS > SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Trust Talk Virtual Program

August 26, 2020

What would pots say if they could talk? Join Historic Deerfield’s Curatorial Assistant Curator Dan Sousa in conversation with Department Director Amanda Lange as they unravel the stories behind the messages and symbols found on English and American ceramics in the museum’s collection. From tales of England’s Jacobite Rebellion and Bonnie Prince Charlie, to stories of America’s fight for Independence, each object has the powerful ability to provide unique perspectives, insights, and illustrations of some of history’s most noteworthy and memorable rebellions and revolutions. Stay tuned for registration information for this online event.
