Primitive Hall Virtual Tour with Wendy Cooper

Virtual Tour

May 19, 2021, 1:00 pm ET

Wendy Cooper, Curator Emerita of Furniture, Winterthur Museum, will lead us on a tour of a remarkable survival, Primitive Hall. John Pennock, who came from County Tipperary, Ireland, acquired the property in 1703 and built the house in 1738. Primitive Hall retains its original character and exemplifies a sense of 18th-century solitude and strength. Although our Study Trip Abroad to Northern Ireland will now take place in May 2022, visiting Primitive Hall virtually will offer a taste of the architecture and culture we will encounter next year. We hope you can join us!

The Decorative Arts Trust hosts monthly virtual tours that give viewers the opportunity to go behind the scenes and experience incredible collections and sites. Curators, collectors, and lovers of decorative arts share fascinating objects and interiors through our tours hosted on YouTube Live.
