SOJOURN
July 2028
Join us for a southwestern Sojourn to Santa Fe where history, artistry, and landscape intertwine in sun-baked harmony. Founded in 1610 as the capital of Nuevo México, Santa Fe is the oldest state capital in the United States, shaped by centuries of Indigenous Tewa Pueblo, Spanish, Mexican, and American influence. Today, “the City Different” is renowned for its distinctive Pueblo Revival architecture with adobe construction, exposed timber framing, and earth-toned surfaces reflecting both Indigenous building traditions and early-20th-century revivalism. Across the city, decorative arts flourish in forms such as pottery, weaving, carving, and metalwork, alongside painted retablos and santos that express enduring spiritual and artistic practice. Set against the dramatic desert backdrop of the southernmost range of the Rocky Mountains, Santa Fe remains a vibrant center of creativity where historic traditions and contemporary expression come together in a uniquely compelling cultural landscape.
