Member Tour of The Museum of the American Revolution
101 South Third Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106
Friday, May 5, 2017 – 2 and 3pm
Join Assistant Curator Matthew Skic and Public Programs Coordinator Hannah Boettcher for a special member’s tour of the brand new Museum of the American Revolution. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the 118,000 square-foot building features a phenomenal collection of national treasures, including George Washington’s military tent, in a dynamic and immersive environment. The main exhibit, the primary focus of our tour, arranges a selection of 400 objects in chronological order from the 1760s to the 1790s to show the shifting meaning and symbolism employed in the decorative arts and craftsmanship of the Revolutionary Era.
This tour is free of charge to all Trust members, but restricted to 25 participants per tour. Registration is limited to current active members of the Trust. As per our membership policy, members at the Benefactor-level and above may register a non-member as a guest.
Participants are also invited to join us following the tour at the City Tavern, 138 South 2nd Street, for refreshment, immediately following each tour.
