Tour “The Folk Art Collection of Elie and Viola Nadelman” Exhibition
July 8, 2016 – at the New-York Historical Society in New York City
Join Vice President and Museum Director Margaret Hofer at 2pm on Friday, July 8th, for a behind-the-scenes look at “The Folk Art Collection of Elie and Viola Nadelman,” at the New-York Historical Society in New York City. Featuring 200 highlights from the first-ever public folk art collection in the United States, the exhibit explores not just the Nadelmans’ eye for the wonderful forms of American folk art, but also its influence on Elie’s own sculptures. Several key loans of his sculpture supplement the exhibition.
This tour is free of charge to all Trust members but restricted to 25 participants. Registration is limited to current members of the Decorative Arts Trust.
