This program holds special significance for Old Salem as George Washington spent two nights at the original Salem Tavern which still stands today restored to its original condition. You may even recognize it on the front cover of this book.
During the lecture, the author will explore Washington’s journey through the southern states, the purpose and impact of his tour, and the people and places our first President encountered along the way.
