2026 Arizona Historical Society Annual Meeting and Mini Convention

Join us for the 2026 Arizona Historical Society Annual Meeting on Friday, September 25, at 2 p.m., virtually and in person at the Arizona History Museum. Members and the public are invited to hear about AHS’s accomplishments, learn about our future direction, celebrate this year’s Al Mérito and Sonichsen Award winners, and connect with fellow history enthusiasts. Active AHS Members will also cast their votes for board officers. Following the meeting, stay and explore our newest exhibition, Arizona Histories, American Stories.

Following the annual meeting, the 2026 Arizona History Mini Convention will be held on September 25 and 26 at the Arizona History Museum. AHS and AHC will be hosting a welcome reception (with food and beverage) for the 2026 Arizona History Mini Convention featuring a talk by keynote speaker, Mark Santiago, titled “1776: Revolutions in the East and West.”

Saturday we will have four 90-minute sessions, each with three individual paper presentations, grouped by subject matter. Awards for the best papers will be handed out at the 2027 Arizona History Convention banquet in Tempe.
