Spring 2026 Colloquium: (re)Membering
The Textile Society of America (TSA) announces its Spring 2026 Colloquium, “(re)Membering),” to be held at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Long Beach, California. This half-day, hybrid event will convene leading artists, scholars, and cultural practitioners to examine how textile arts actively piece together fragmented histories and identities.
The colloquium is a critical installment in TSA’s multi-year thematic journey, building upon “(re)Claiming Narratives” (2022) and “(re)Imagining Futures” (2023). It asks a central question: How do we actively reassemble stories and identities today through material practice? The program shifts the field’s focus from inclusion to the work of building a more just and enduring future.
In-person attendees will receive complimentary admission to MOLAA, and the program will be accessible to a global audience through a live-streamed format. Sessions will be recorded, and made available to registered participants.
